The volunteers of Safe Pet Project realized that to help as many animals as possible they needed to pursue several sources of funding.  Community members were asking how they could help the new organization and the animals.  The volunteers knew creating a thrift store was a means to raise money and also a way for the local community to help through both donating items to be sold and shopping for merchandise. 

After much planning and over a month of hard work by the volunteers to ready the vacant shell space, Safe Pet Project Thrift Store opened its doors on December 8th, 2021.  Today this volunteer-driven store is a unique and different concept of a thrift store.  Shoppers have labeled it “a store that feels and looks like an upscale boutique but with reasonable prices”.   

We appreciate the community’s ongoing support by shopping with us and donating gently used clothes, household items and furniture in very good condition.  We don’t accept large appliances, mattress, sofa beds or kids items.
